The region
Our winery is nestled in the heart of Garda Trentino, where the Brenta mountains meet the lake,
creating the enchanting backdrop of Riva del Garda.
This region unfolds with a kaleidoscope of landscapes, from the rugged mountain peaks to the Mediterranean ambiance surrounding the lake, adorned with olive groves, lemon trees, palms, and laurels. The climate here is marked by mild temperatures—refreshing, breezy summers and mild, brief winters. Throughout the day, the Pelèr and Ora winds, distinctive to Upper Garda, take centre stage. The Pelèr sweeps from the north in the morning, while the Ora arrives from the south in the late morning or afternoon.
Shaped by the retreat of glaciers, the “busa” is a valley featuring steep slopes with calcareous soils on its hillsides and an alluvial valley floor with medium-textured soil rich in clays. The diverse terrain, varied altitudes, and climatic conditions all contribute to allowing each grape variety to showcase its unique characteristics. In this setting, our vineyards are meticulously distributed across Riva del Garda, Arco, and Tenno. The hilly landscapes of Tenno provide ideal conditions for our white grape varieties, benefiting from high altitudes, calcareous soils, and mountain streams, resulting in freshness, tangy, and refined wines.
tangy, and refined wines. Meanwhile, our red grape varieties thrive in the warmer climate of the valley floor, at altitudes ranging from 100 to 150 metres above sea level. The clay-rich soils and intricate conditions ensure optimal grape ripening, contributing to wines of exceptional quality.
