About the company
The Comai family, with a winemaking heritage spanning four generations in Trentino, initially supplied cooperatives before transitioning into accomplished artisan winemakers, growing their own grapes. In 2017, brothers Marco and Andrea took over the reins from their father, Alberto, choosing to embrace the role of vine-growers by making wine from grapes grown entirely on their own plots. Marco, who oversees the winemaking process, earned his oenology diploma in 2014 from the San Michele all'Adige Institute. He rounded off his educational journey with a degree in wine making and oenology, gaining work experience across Europe.
Meanwhile, Andrea, a graduate of the San Michele all'Adige Agricultural Institute, gained practical insights working for local entities, where he specialized in viticulture. He currently oversees agronomic management of the vineyards. Approximately six hectares of vineyards are cultivated using organic practices, evenly divided between white and red grape varieties. Our “company mission” revolves around seeking the most suitable plots to fully express the potential of the local land, ensuring we achieve a level of quality that is subsequently reflected in our products. In addition to wines, we are proud to produce a limited quantity of extra virgin olive oil, deeply rooted in the historical heritage of Upper Garda.
